Wish
Formula 1:
Wish + Simple Past is used to talk about a wish for the present. (that is not real)
Examples:
1. I wish I knew her address.
2. I wish I had a car.

Formula 2:
Wish + would/could is used to talk about a wish for the future or the power to control your action.
Examples:
1. I wish I would stop smoking.
2. I wish I could speak English fluently.

Formula 3:
Wish + Past Perfect is used for talking about wishes for the past.
Examples:
1. They wish they had not eaten so many chocolates.
2. I wish she had not forgotten to call me yesterday.
